TRISH'S BIO

Trish is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a Masters in Counselling Psychology. She is also, a certified yoga and meditation teacher.

Trish has an extensive background working with children, adolescents and parents. Her practice includes a collaborative and holistic approach through first developing a strong relationship with her clients. She incorporates therapy styles that best fit with an individual’s needs including one or more of the following: Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Women/Feminist Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Trish is also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (for trauma).​

Trish specializes in supporting LGBTQ2S+ community youth, adults, parents and families and issues related to gender and sexuality as well as women specific concerns such as life stage transitions. Other areas of support include: sexual assault (females), anxiety, stress management, depression and suicide, divorce, grief and loss, family dynamic issues, parent/teen relationships, personal health and lifestyle change and career/school issues.

Trish understands some clients can be nervous or unsure about seeking help, however she works to create an environment of trust by providing a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients. Her strengths of care, compassion and empathy will help put her clients be at ease. She believes we all have within us what we need to create more positive and meaningful lives.
